For a never-to-be forgotten Spanish holiday

Rural self-catering country villa to rent on an old almond and olive farm. A delightful Spanish holiday (vacation) accommodation, near Álora and Cártama, inland from Malaga, Andalusia, Southern Spain. Sleeps 2 - 4 + child, 2 en-suite bedrooms, with a private pool and outdoor hot tub/spa/Jacuzzi. Whilst enjoying privacy and seclusion, remote from civilisation, you are not isolated at all: a 25 minute drive brings you to the local town, 45 minutes to the Costa del Sol and all its attractions and less than an hour to Malaga Airport. Primarily for those wanting to just relax, it is also perfect for walking, rock climbing, painting, photographers, honeymooners, romantic couples, yoga, rambling, and bird watching.

The Local Beaches

Generally beaches are fairly low down on the list of importance by guests to Cencerrita, but every now and then, the urge to check up on just why you chose a rural holiday becomes to great to ignore!  We believe there are some lovely hidden coves further east of Malaga - we've just never found them ...

If you fancy a trip to the beach, you could do a lot worse than visit the Malaga end of Torremolinos.  Surprised?!  This little bit of beach is too far from Torremolinos for the tourists to get to easily from their hotels and is unexpectedly free from the crowds.  Certainly there are the inevitable "churringitos" (the beach side bars), umbrellas and sunloungers (to be paid for!), but paddling in the Med whilst licking an ice-cream does have its own delights!

Many of our guests go to the "Spanish Lakes" near El Chorro and Ardales.  The wonderful colour of the water is very enticing and a dip in the water almost irresistible in the warmer month.  Electric boats can be hired to lazily drift around the lakes admiring the unusual rock formations caused mostly by wind and sand erosion.
